AP781128 - Flight Attendants (Domestic Airlines) Award 1999
21. LINE SUPERVISOR/INFLIGHT TRAINER/GROUND SCHOOL TRAINER
21.1 Check pursers/line supervisor
21.1.1 Check Pursers/Line supervisors may be awarded their own rosters. Flight Attendants whose rosters are to be checked will normally drop their rostered duties to operate on the Check Purser/Line Supervisors flight. However, where the check cannot otherwise be achieved, the Check Purser/Line Supervisor may be reassigned another duty within the two plus two reassignable period, in order to cover the necessary checking duties.
21.1.2 Days off for ground supervision duties may only be altered by agreement.
21.1.3 Once the Check Purser/Line Supervisors’ planned checking has been built into their roster for the month, and that checking involves a projection over the 120 hour limit, the Check Purser/Line Supervisor will be displaced from duty to bring themselves within that limit. Displacement from flights will be from non-check sequences commencing with the lowest duty sequence until the 120 hour limit is achieved.
21.1.4 Time for questioning and assessment of a Flight Attendant will be 30 minutes maximum. This additional time will be full duty time and will be in addition to normal sign on or sign off time and will also be planned and included in the daily and monthly duty hour limitations. Any additional time required for questioning and assessment will count towards the daily and monthly maximum duty hours.
21.1.5 Where a Flight Attendant is displaced from rostered duty for questioning and or assessment purposes, any additional hours accredited by the above reasons will contribute towards the monthly maximum rostered hours. The Flight Attendant will be displaced from duty to bring them within that limit. Displacement from flights will be from sequences commencing with the lowest duty sequence until the 120 hour limit is achieved.
21.1.6 A Flight Attendant will have the right to refuse an appointment as a Check Purser/Line Supervisor.
21.1.7 Termination of the appointment as a Check Purser/Line Supervisor will be by 4 weeks’ notice in writing by either party.
